Reservoirs

Five types of reservoirs are available: the On-Off, Integra reservoir, Foltz, Braden, Rickham style reservoirs.

On-Off reservoir:
The On-Off reservoir features the exclusive Heyer-Schulte® On-Off device, a proximal occluder and reinforced flat bottom. This reservoir is offered with or without an Anti-Siphon device.

Integra Reservoir:
The Integra reservoir is designed as a closed ventricular acesss system, facilitiating the withdrawal of CSF as well as delivery of radioisotopes and chemotherpautic agents. Several models are offered, providing the flexibility to accommodate many different treatment protocols. The reservoir may also be converted to or added in-line to an existing shunt system.

Each standard CSF reservoir is packaged with a small Pudenz ventricular catheter.

Reservoirs are available in various configurations, including:

  • standard
  • side-inlet
  • convertible (both burr-hole and flat-bottom)
  • mini

Foltz CSF Reservoir:
Single domed reservoir with reinforced flat bottom

Braden CSF Reservoir:
Flat bottom reservoir with twin domes

Rickham-style Reservoir:
Right angled reservoir, available in small and large sizes

Intended Use:
For treatment of hydrocephalic patients to shunt cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the lateral ventricles of the brain into either the right atrium of the heart or the peritoneum.
