Indications for Use:
The cortical surface electrodes are intended for the intraoperative recording of EEG signals at the cortical surface of the brain. Depth electrodes are intended for the intraoperative recording of EEG signals at subsurface levels of the brain.

Strip and grid electrodes
Integra Epilepsy™ cortical strip and grid electrodes are extra thin and flexible to facilitate intracranial placement and to conform to the curvature of the cortical surface. The narrow cylindrical connector design simplifies tunneling and enables quick and secure attachment to the patented connection system. Like all Integra Epilepsy™ electrode designs, they are available with implant grade stainless steel or platinum contacts. Contacts are standardly spaced 10mm apart for maximum coverage.

Strip electrodes are available with 4, 6, or 8 contacts. Grid electrodes are available with 16, 20, 24, 32, and 64 contact grids. Each electrode array has a color coded lead to identify type, and all grid leads are marked with indicators for numbering. Custom strip and grid configurations are available.

Flex Connector
The Integra Epilepsy™ Flex connector represents a significant advance in the design of epilepsy electrodes. This versatile 64-contact connector simplifies lead tunneling and attachment to the electrode connecting cable. The Flex Connector is provided with a peel-away sheath for protection during tunneling.

Depth Electrodes
Integra's superior quality depth electrodes are fabricated from a single length of polyurethane tubing for strength and uniform smoothness. They are furnished with a specially designed rigid stylet to facilitate stereotactic placement in the patient. Available with 4, 6, or 8 contacts, spaced 10 mm apart, with the Integra cylindrical connection system.

Indications for Use:
Epidural peg, sphenoidal and foramen ovale depth electrodes are indicated for intraoperative recording of electrical signals for epilepsy monitoring at the surface and subsurface levels of the brain.

Foramen Ovale Electrodes
Foramen ovale electrodes typically are guided through the foramen ovale and are positioned on the medial surface of the temporal lobe. The ultra-thin 1.0 mm diameter electrodes are flexible yet firm enough to allow guidance to the desired target point. Each contact is 3mm long, and spaced 2.9 cm apart. Electrodes are available in 3 and 4 contact systems, with insertion needles and connection cables.

Epidural Peg Electrodes
Peg electrodes typically are positioned in a burr hole to enable epidural recording of brain activity. They have platinum contacts and are furnished in several lengths to accommodate various skull thicknesses.

Sphenoidal Electrodes
Sphenoidal electrodes provide a less invasive method of recording brain activity in the epilepsy patient. Like all Integra Epilepsy™ electrodes, sphenoidal electrodes are fabricated from implant-grade platinum materials.
